Natural Remedies To Nourish Your Skin

Fruit/Herb Infused Water – Lemon promotes digestion and detoxification, while providing vitamin C content. Cucumbers contain cooling and hydrating properties while soothing inflammation. Mint aids indigestion as well as acts as an anti-microbial agent.

– 1 handful kale

– 1 handful spinach

– 1/2 pc cucumber

– 1/2 pc green apple

– 2 pcs celery stalks

– 1 pc lemon, juice & zest

– 1 thumb ginger

– 1-2 sprigs mint (optional)

Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy.

 

Coconut/Olive Oil Moisturizer/Scrub – A simple and affordable natural makeup remover and moisturizer. When using as a make up remover, begin with dampening your face with some warm water, and then apply the oil. When using as a scrub combine sugar with oil (olive oil would be best recommended for this) and apply on face in a circular motion, then rinse with lukewarm water.

Clean and dry your hands prior in order to eliminate additional bacteria build up. Using your fingertips, apply oil to the face/body in a circular motion (coconut oil will begin to liquify as it makes contact with the skin, due to warm body temperatures, and its solidity in a room temperature state). Leave on for about 10 – 15 minutes to allow the oils to soak in. Wipe away any excess oil using cotton balls/pads, or rinse lightly with lukewarm water.

 

 

Apple Cider Vinegar Disinfectant – Eliminate bacteria and natural oils which can cause blocked and inflamed pores, by applying this everyday product to your skin. This can be additionally ingested by added 1 tsp of apple cider vinegar to 1 cup of water and drunk in the morning.

In a small bowl, combine 1 part apple cider vinegar to 1 part water. Dip a cotton ball/pad into mixture and apply onto face. Leave on overnight, and wash face as per usual the next morning.

 

Lemon Juice – Due to the citric acid contained within this fruit, it promotes the elimination of dead skin cells, furthering a more brightened and rejuvenated skin complexion.

Apply 1/2 lemon directly to the skin and rub in a circular motion for 2-3 minutes. Leave on for 10 minutes, and then rinse with lukewarm water.

 

Oatmeal Mask – This all-around nourishing mask will help to sooth and exfoliate the skin, resulting in a smooth and renewed surface.

Combine 1/4 cup oats with 1 tbsp of lemon juice and 1 tbsp of honey. If needed add enough water to form a thick paste. Apply onto skin and leave on for about 15 – 20 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water.
